Hello,

I am encountering a problem.
My printer connected via USB to my laptop running Windows 7 works perfectly.
So I went into the printer settings to share it on the network. Up to this point, no problem.
The issue is that my second desktop PC running Windows 7 is unable to connect to the printer; it doesn't even find it when I go to add a network printer. So I click on: the printer I want isn't listed.
I land on another page.
I check: search for a printer
Then next, and then I go into networks and click on the PC where it is connected, and now I am asked for a login and password, but when I set up the printer on the network, I didn't enter any login or password at any time. In short, I'm stuck and can't use my printer on the network.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Thanks in advance.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 50.0

    Hi,

The login and password requested are those of the PC for sharing.

It's best to connect the printer to the box if you want all network devices to be able to print to it.

You don't need to have your PC on for this.

Just connect the printer to the box and install its drivers on all the computers that want to print to it.

    Which ISP are you with?
    For example, for SFR: https://assistance.sfr.fr/internet-tel-fixe/box-nb6/connecter-ordinateurs-imprimante.html

This way, you'll even be able to print from your smartphone or tablet.

      Hi dad,
I hadn't thought about the box
(I have to say that at my place, the printers are true network printers ^^)
