Second screen not turning on automatically

Hello,
I’m reaching out because I’m facing an issue, and despite all my online searches, I can't find any topic that resembles it!
I currently have a laptop (ASUS TUF Dash F15 - link at the bottom), which I used before with a regular second screen (either via DisplayPort or HDMI, both worked very well).
I changed my second screen last week, replacing the old one with the Millenium MD 34 Pro (link below).
I connected this screen via HDMI 2.0.
However, this second screen does not detect any output from my laptop. It is indeed connected (I can see it in my devices, I can move my mouse over this screen, windows open on it... But the screen remains black, no signal, and then goes to sleep.
However, where my problem diverges from others where the screen never turns on, is that this screen does indeed work! I can turn it on by following this procedure:
- The display settings window must open on my laptop (if it happens to open on my second screen, I have to search for this window blindly for long minutes)
- Duplicate my screen
- The display appears, duplicated!
- I switch back to extend screen, and then everything is fine!
The screen works perfectly once I’ve performed all these operations, but it takes an eternity, and I have to set my laptop screen as the primary one every time I turn it off; otherwise, I can't access the display settings window that is hidden on the second screen...
And when I connect another source, like my Switch, to the second HDMI port, the Switch doesn't work via the settings menu of the second screen; I have to unplug my laptop at the moment I switch (because yes, additionally, I can't access the menu of my screen when it's not connected to a source...).
If there’s anything you don’t understand, please don’t hesitate (sometimes (often) I’m not very clear!).
