Good evening,
It's up to you to decide...?
The free support for Windows 10 ended on October 14, 2025, but users can subscribe to the ESU program to continue receiving security updates until October 13, 2026, for individuals. The ESU Program allows for the extension of security updates for Windows 10 until 2026 for individuals, under certain conditions, including the actual existence of a Microsoft account.
Hello,
Not directly.
There are tons of people who have installed Windows 11 on old hardware, including Windows 11 incompatible machines, by forcing the installation, although I wouldn't do it on a really weak processor and only 8 GB of RAM, but that's also the case with Windows 10.
There are also plenty of people who will continue to use Windows 10 even without ESU, either by doing nothing, which isn't necessarily the best idea, although from what I understand, apart from Windows security vulnerabilities, Windows Defender will continue to work without updates, or by using third-party security software, which won't pose any real issues for healthy usage.
Hello,
Honestly, it's not the right time to install Windows 11, as there are several issues, mainly with Outlook. Many people are experiencing problems with the Windows 11 update (KB5074109). It's better to stay on Windows 10 until the end of February.
Best regards
Neha
Hello,
Your sources?
From what I read on some sites, there always seems to be a "good" reason to postpone a Windows update that might be faulty.
Personally, I have no issues with the update in question.
Outlook bugs are reported more or less regularly, regardless of Windows 11, and anyway, not knowing what they are, as Outlook can refer to several concepts.
Furthermore, no one is obliged to install and use any version of Outlook.
