The screen is not turning on, in "power save mode"

Hello,

My father just bought a new tower, but he hasn't changed the tower or the monitor.
However, it's impossible to turn on the monitor; it's in sleep mode and displays "power save mode. Press any key on the keyboard or move the mouse." We've done that, but nothing changes. No buttons or mouse movements seem to work.
Could you please help us?
I've read about similar problems, and some said to go into settings, but for us, that's impossible since the screen won't turn on..
Thank you in advance!

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.0.19

Hello, I don't know if you're still at startup when the problem occurs or on your operating system's desktop. If that's the case, you can press the left ctrl key and see the result. But if it's during startup, it's a bit more complicated. You need to change the VGA cable to the integrated graphics card if you have two cards, or vice versa. Alternatively, you can clear the CMOS by removing the battery from the motherboard while the PC is off, then putting it back and turning on the PC. It should default to the integrated graphics card. Plug the VGA cable into the integrated one, and that should work.
