WhatsApp images not found on my PC (but present on phone)

Hello,
I connect my phone (Pixel 3a) in data transfer mode to my computer (Windows 10) and then access my WhatsApp media > images folder to free up space and back up my photos, but they do not appear under Windows (while the audio files do, strangely) (and everything else appears normally). I have 1300 WhatsApp photos stored on my phone and they display fine on my device. I don't understand the source of the problem as it has always worked before. I make backups every 2 months. What should I do?

The correct path, in Windows Explorer, is:
This PC\****\Phone\Android\media\com.whatsapp\WhatsApp\Media\WhatsApp Images
In place of the stars: the name of the smartphone
(what is before Android varies depending on your phone).
You can also try transferring via Bluetooth.
Use the file explorer on the smartphone to go to the WhatsApp Images folder.
Select the photos and share via Bluetooth.

there's nothing in com.whatsapp at my place
so it doesn't work on my PC either
If that doesn't work, you can easily find the location of the file on your smartphone.
Open a WhatsApp image in the Gallery of the smartphone. Click on the three small dots, then on Details.
You will see the exact storage location of WhatsApp images on your smartphone.
