Scam of the Suvedene highway

Hello,
I have a small issue. I checked my account a few days ago and noticed some charges from the Suvedene highway that I have no memory of.
So I searched online for information and came across a site where there was a message noting a scam, but it has been deleted.
So, is there really a scam? And what should I do? My bank doesn't want to help me find out where this charge comes from!

Hello everyone!
I have finally resolved this little issue.
Indeed, it is not a scam; I called the highway company, and they consolidate trip fees when these are made over a short period, which was indeed my case. Thank you for your responses!

  Over several days, different routes in Occitanie and only one deduction.

    I haven't made any highway trips, and yet the southern highway has deducted several amounts from me.
    
    The same goes for a friend whose account was charged with a mandate set up without his knowledge.

Hello, I was charged €8. I never went through this toll. My bank is conducting an investigation. They sent a request to the toll, but apparently, they have 1 month to respond, and they are not even obliged to. I am waiting. If I manage to get any information, I will come back and post a response here.

If you are sure that you have never used the services of this 'highway' (Portugal??), then it is either a mistake or fraudulent use of your credit card number.

Everything is said! The Bank MUST comply without charge...
Change your credit card which may be reused if it has been 'cloned'...

On September 3, 2008, and September 17, 2008, I also have credit card payments with SUVEDENE
after researching, these correspond in date and amount to the trips I made on the highway from Nantes to Rambouillet on the A11-A10, usually the debit author is COFIROUTE.
But upon further investigation in my accounts, I realized that the debtor was not always COFIROUTE
In my case, SUVEDENE is not a scam.

I took the highway at CAZERES 31 to SAINT GODENS 31 ROUND TRIP 50.80 €?
The most expensive highway in France 40 Km for 50.80 €

  I use the A64 daily, and the section from Cazères to Saint-Gaudens is almost free; only the section from Lestelle to Saint-Gaudens is paid. So your €50 is quite excessive. It's the most expensive highway from Bordeaux in France. The one that connects Pau to Bordeaux. I really think it's a scam.

Hi

I also have the same issue. When checking my statement at the counter, I saw that my account was debited €60.60 with the description "autoroute suvenede." I asked my bank to block it, but they think that highway companies consolidate payments, which I don't really believe. Let me know if you've seen any other payments besides the one from suvenede...

I'll check with my bank tomorrow.

  Yes, I just noticed a charge of 32 euros on my account for a highway I don't even know! How do they do that when I always have my card with me and never leave it for a second? I'm going to my bank tomorrow, straight away.

Hello everyone, I also have a ticket in the name of the SOUTH MOTORWAY Venede, I found that quite strange, I started by doing some research online, and ended up on an exit of the A7 north of Avignon, not quite on my route.
Carosch's response reassures me, but why does the company invoice in the name of an EXIT instead of doing it in its name? It’s still quite curious...

  I was a victim of the same scam today and my bank, Crédit Agricole, will reimburse me within 4 days at most. Just go to the bank, which will issue a certificate, then go to the police station with that certificate, which will issue another certificate, and that's it. Block your card and change it.

  I just noticed a debit of €29.30 on my account from the southern highway dated 14/07, whereas the only amounts spent on tolls that day are €7.80 for the outbound trip and the same amount for the return trip.

    It seems that this is the name of the center collecting the tolls. A rather unfortunate name as it does not accurately identify the beneficiary.

Hello

I just saw on my computer a withdrawal of 410 euros by the Southern Highway.
I'm sure it's a mistake or a scam.
Tomorrow I will go to my bank. But I don't understand how they could withdraw such a large amount.

Maybe it's something else...

  Hello, I see that your response isn't that old. I've had the same problem for 2 days with my bank account; I keep getting charged for several tolls with completely outrageous amounts. One for €213, another for €124, and about twenty other charges of €60.
  I've blocked my card, but I don't understand how this is possible; my account is at -€1700 for tolls in 3 days!

The payment is collected on the 20th of the following month (multiple trips are added together); this is the toll fee for electronic toll collection on the southern highways of France (it's Vinci), even on the A40 or A42 which are part of the APPR network... uh... it's clear, right? Well, it's banking (^_^)

Hello, there is also a double charge of €132 on 01/10/2022 although I did not use any tolls in France.
Does blocking the credit card cancel the ongoing charge?

Me too, withdrawal on January 12, 2024, €10 for the south highway Vedene, while I am in the Loire; I haven't been to the south since September 2023.
