Hello,
I've been working on LMMS on Windows 10 for about 6 months without any real problems.
Yesterday, I opened a project on my software and noticed that there is a sort of crackling/white noise/strange distortion that randomly occurs.
I've tried to see if it was coming from a VST or something else, but nothing works and the noise remains persistent, which is extremely inconvenient.
Any solution??

Hello!
Could you tell me a bit more about your setup?
PC, sound card, speakers... all that.
Because it could come from a lot of things, but I don't have enough information to try to help you.-

Okay, is your sound card also six months old?
Did you buy it new or used, and the same goes for your headset, did you get it new or used?
I've had several Focusrite sound cards and I'm still using two today, I really like this brand, but the first one I had started to emit some noise one day.
And after a while... BAM! The sound card was fried.
But it lasted me a few years anyway. -

Ok so it probably doesn't come from the hardware, at least I hope not because what hardware component are you talking about that is only a few days old?
It's strange because your problem is very recent too, if I understand correctly.
As for the software, um ... LMMS is not what I would recommend using but that's just me ... .
I'll be honest, I think LMMS is very bad software, but who am I to criticize?
Anyway, if it's a software issue, I hope someone else will come and help you because I use Cubase and FL Studio, so I won't be able to solve your problem, sorry. -
