Crackling sound on music software (FL and Maschine)

Hello,
For a few days, my audio on music software has been crackling/popping. The CPU isn't maxed out, it happens with the slightest playback of a sample or use of a VST. This occurs on both FL Studio and Maschine. However, I have no issues outside of these two software. Video games, music playback, streaming or anything else works normally. I haven't changed any components on my PC (note that I don't use an external sound card), I haven't changed the settings in my DAW software, so it's pretty incomprehensible. I tried updating my drivers, which didn't resolve my issue. I thought it might be due to a Windows update, but if that were the case, I would have seen other people complaining. Has anyone ever experienced this? Or does anyone have any idea what could be causing it?
