Hello, I want the sound from the TV to come out of the amplifier. I have made several attempts with optical fiber and RCA cables but nothing works.
I have a Samsung TV UE40C6000 and a Yamaha RXV357 amplifier that does not have HDMI.
This is my last chance with you, otherwise I will decide to buy a newer one with HDMI.
Help.

Hello and welcome to this forum,
On some amplifiers, you need to assign the optical input and also check the TV audio menu which must be set to "external speakers"

An optical connection is not made with RCA but with an optical cable:

Yes, I understood well, I misspoke. I made an optical connection with optical cables and in parallel, I made audio connections with RCA. But I think the problem comes from the Mi Box S.

If your box is connected via HDMI to the TV, no worries

There may be a configuration to make in the TV's audio menu, such as checking "external speakers," for example.
