TV amplifier connection

Solved

Hello, I want the sound from the TV to come out of the amplifier. I have made several attempts with optical fiber and RCA cables but nothing works.
I have a Samsung TV UE40C6000 and a Yamaha RXV357 amplifier that does not have HDMI.
This is my last chance with you, otherwise I will decide to buy a newer one with HDMI.
Help.

Hello and welcome to this forum,

On some amplifiers, you need to assign the optical input and also check the TV audio menu which must be set to "external speakers"

Indeed, I also tested the optical connection with RCA audio plugs on the amplifier and TV and used the external speakers of the TV. However, on the TV, I have the audio and digital outputs set to In. I think it should be outputting to OUT. Honestly, I don't remember how to proceed.

"Except that on the TV I have audio and digital outputs in."
No, look at the photo "Digital audio OUT optical"

An optical connection is not made with RCA but with an optical cable:

Yes, I understood well, I misspoke. I made an optical connection with optical cables and in parallel, I made audio connections with RCA. But I think the problem comes from the Mi Box S.

If your box is connected via HDMI to the TV, no worries

Yes, it is connected via HDMI. I tested it with another TV and a TV decoder. I connected my amplifier via optical to the TV decoder and it works; I have the TV sound coming through the amplifier speakers. I don't understand anything anymore.

There may be a configuration to make in the TV's audio menu, such as checking "external speakers," for example.

I also tested it, it only stays in PCM but I just found the solution. I connected a jack cable to my box which I connected to the RCA audio red and white on the amplifier and it works perfectly.
Thanks anyway for your answers, it was cool.
