Connecting Samsung smart TV + Freebox + amplifier
Hello
I have a Samsung smart TV (UE48J6300AWXZF) that I want to connect to my Freebox Revolution and my Yamaha RX-379 amplifier.
I have tested several types of connections, but I am not satisfied with the result. It works, but I think I made a mistake that I can't seem to find.
So, I connected:
TV + AMP via HDMI-ARC (port on each device)
FREEBOX + TV via HDMI 1 (STB)
FREEBOX + AMP via OPTICAL
What "bothers" me is having to add the optical cable when I have connected the TV and the amp via HDMI-ARC.
I also can't manage the FREEBOX from the TV remote.
It's possible that I may have misconfigured each device because I admit I don't master this area completely.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Hello and welcome to the forum,
If I understand correctly, you've connected the TV and the receiver via HDMI ARC and you have no sound, which forces you to use an optical cable between the box and the receiver? Is that right?
But also:
Your TV has an optical output, so try connecting it to the receiver

Have you properly set the TV audio to "external speakers" in order to activate ARC?
Have you tried connecting the TV and the amplifier via optical, the audio from the box should pass through?
Personally, I've never managed to get that damn ARC to work, and quite a few users on this forum have almost gone crazy... ;)
