View all folders storage/emulated/0

Question

Hello everyone I have a OnePlus 6 I feel like access to folders has been restricted with the latest updates (I'm on version 10) I had placed files in a folder storage/emulated/0/baidu (I randomly picked this folder back when I could access it; it probably wasn't a good idea, as this folder might be linked to a virus according to some information) This folder still exists and those files are still there because the application that needs them is working I would like to recover these files but I can no longer access this folder, even if I check "show hidden folders"; I have tried with a bunch of file explorers, the pro version of ES File Explorer, File Commander, File Manager... the same in developer mode... I can access photos, downloads, music, videos... normally but not my baidu folder Thank you in advance...

As stated in my question, I just wanted to retrieve personal files that I had placed in "storage/emulated/0/baidu" when I had access to that folder; those files are still there since the application that needs them is working... In the adb documentation, it says that you can do this: adb pull but the and , before I find the exact syntax... I would like to just put them in the photos or any other folder that we can easily access... Best regards

Hello,  Normally, the real "ESexplorer pro" and "RootExplore" for instance, can access all folders, but often... on the condition that the phone is rooted.  Otherwise, it is true that the regular explorer does not access all folders.  The original folder is the "Root" folder symbolized as "/" the first folder in Root is "acct".

If you are skilled in technical matters... and capable of typing commands in a black screen like DOS,  there are ADB commands that can connect to your smartphone and might allow you to recover files  https://sodocumentation.net/fr/android/topic/1051/adb--android-debug-bridge-  But it doesn't take five minutes to learn... and you can also erase everything with a wrong manipulation...

Firstly, your smartphone needs to be connected to your PC... this is possible via USB... which should be in "Charging" mode on the phone and "Debugging" allowed in developers  First ADB command to detect what is connected... adb devices... it detects my smartphone, but it is unauthorized.  C:\Users\Jean>adb devicesList of devices attachedA3PRO201809045967 unauthorizedI go to the smartphone to authorize it in a window... I need to click OKC:\Users\Jean>adb devicesList of devices attachedA3PRO201809045967 device  Then run adb devices again... this time, it says "device"... it is authorized.   So... here is an example of an ADB pull operation performed with my smartphone  C:\Users\Jean>adb pull "storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera" j:\SDpull: building file list...pull: storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera/IMG_20201003_181618_6.jpg -> j:\SD/IMG_20201003_181618_6.jpgpull: storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera/IMG_20201003_181613_1.jpg -> j:\SD/IMG_20201003_181613_1.jpgpull: storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera/IMG_20201003_181610_2.jpg -> j:\SD/IMG_20201003_181610_2.jpg3 files pulled. 0 files skipped.3202 KB/s (5049499 bytes in 1.540s)  Explanations... the command is made on the first line adb pull "storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera" j:\SD  The adb pull command followed by the phone's folder in quotes so in my case, it is: "storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera" where there are 3 photos... but it is important to understand that it transfers all the files that are there  A space separates the source from the destination.. which is to the drive J:\SD So the 3 photos from the phone are moved to the SD folder on drive J:  The problem in your case is to know exactly the name of the Origin folder... I would say based on your text that it is: "storage/emulated/0/baidu"  There you go, I believe I have indicated everything...

You can find out the exact name of your folder using the adb shell command C:\Users\Jean>adb shellA3_Pro:/ $ ls and you will switch to a new prompt here: A3_Pro:/ $ ls if you type the command "ls" It will output the list of folders on the first line... acct charger d dev mnt root storage vendorbugreports config data etc oem sbin syscache custom default.prop lib proc sdcard system You will see "storage" which concerns you... so you change the directory... CD /storage 1|A3_Pro:/ $ cd /storage......<==== here, I type cd /storage1|A3_Pro:/ $ cd /storageA3_Pro:/storage $ lsemulated sdcard0 self.....<=========here is the content of the folder thanks to the command "ls"A3_Pro:/storage $ So each time you type "ls" you can view the contents of the folder and with "cd /folder" you change folder with these two commands, you should find where "badu" is hidden and see its content... and then you will know the exact name and path... so you should be able to successfully carry out your adb pull (source) (destination)

OK, so you didn't find the Baidu folder...?? It might be hidden...?  Baidu is the Chinese Google... it’s possible that it’s in the browser cache, like Google or Firefox for example... and not installed in the folders at all. I also think it should be visible with "ES Explorer Pro"... if it’s not hidden and you can't see it, it’s not there...  At least you’ve learned a little bit about ADB  Go read this https://fr.androiddata-recovery.com/blog/comment-afficher-et-recuperer-des-fichiers-caches-sur-android  They propose a recovery software there... you can try it..
