Hello,
I hope you are all doing very well.
I am using Word software for writing my doctoral thesis. Regarding the literature review, I am directly using the “References” tab to add sources and insert author citations. However, I have noticed that there are duplicates in the bibliography at the end of the document. Therefore, I would like to know how I can remove them.
Thank you in advance and have a great evening everyone.

Hello,
We don't know how you proceeded. Normally, you shouldn't have duplicates. If you do, it's because you entered the source multiple times.
A work should only be created as a source once. You can then insert it into the document as many times as you wish, citing various passages via the page numbers.
So, check your sources.

Hello,
The bibliographic sources are kept in a document named sources.xml, which is located by default here:
C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Bibliography\Sources.xml
This means that, regardless of the document, you always have access to the sources (unless you delete the file in question).
Then to retrieve the necessary sources in a document: References tab, Citations & Bibliography group, Manage Sources button.
On the left, you have the sources from the sources.xml file; just select the ones you are interested in and click Copy to retrieve them in the current document.
If you see duplicates on the left, you need to delete them.

Good evening.
I don’t understand: There can't be any duplicates if you are citing two different works.
There is no need to create a bibliography reference for another passage from the same work.

Actually, I forgot to mention one thing: I copied the bibliography I had created in the same way from another Word file reserved for another part of my work. It was to avoid having to add the sources that weren't in the new document yet! It might be because of that! You are probably right, there wouldn't have been a duplicate if I hadn't done it this way! So, I might have to deal with this until the end...
Anyway, thank you very much for your help!
