Hello,
The concept escapes me; it's normal for there to be repeated words in a document, such as articles.
A number of extensions can allow you to count all duplicate words, but it's hard to see the point in that under these circumstances.
Individually, we can tackle a specific word or even a generic expression using the Find-Replace function, but not all duplicate words.
Everyone should analyze the structure and flow of their presentation, narrative, etc., and reread to avoid repetitions.
Hello
We can "select the range of data containing the duplicate words".
Then we can click on data, tools and then on remove duplicates, possibly enabling or disabling columns where duplicates will be removed.
It is strictly forbidden to double to the right.
Hello,
??
Who tells us if there is a table and/or column data in this file or not?
If the goal is to detect not duplicates within a file but duplicate files, then the question is unclear; if they have the same name in multiple folders, there are several utilities for that.
If they have been renamed and are identical, their size will be the same; if one has been slightly modified compared to the other, for example, Winmerge can detect and merge the changes of its choice.
In fact, there are several cases where you can select "a range of data in a text" in Word, then use the duplicate removal tool, which results in small "variations" depending on the situations or menus.
It is presented in several "tips" to quickly remove duplicates in Word on different sites and various versions of Word over time.
The concept of hunting for duplicate words therefore really exists with this tool.
Hello Nain_Porte_Quoi.
This is a piece of menu from a right-click on a selected text done a bit hastily with the mouse, and often these submenus each managed to slightly modify the text, hence the variants I suppose we find full pages of these tutorials for Word or videos.
This is what they call on all these blogs, as Chasse Gardée says, "quickly removing duplicates in Word." I also try to understand each time what the question means for those who ask it today by looking it up on my search engine anyway, I often get surprises as words change meaning.
Um...
@Eric could you post a screenshot where you have this command and/or one of those many pages with those tutorials or videos for Word that shows how to find duplicates in a WORD document!
I get the feeling you might be confusing it with something else.
Hello
Indeed, it doesn't exist...
Depending on what we really want, we can create a macro.. For example, to delete duplicated words (for those who dictate and stutter!! ;))... Although Word can already detect that kind of thing.
Otherwise, with an RR for specific cases. But since we don't know much more...
