    Hello.

If it is in UEFI format, it will not be recognized on a PC with MBR format, but on the other hand a key in MBR format will be recognized on a PC with UEFI

    I have experience of that.

      Hello
I believe some clarifications are needed to say that this is a key required for electronic signing and that the said Gemalto key worked on my PC and that I have never changed computers. Now, doing the same steps, this key is no longer detected.

Disconnect all USB peripherals except the USB key, keyboard, and mouse, then restart. If that doesn’t work, go update the drivers on the DriversCloud site: https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/48455-mettre-a-jour-ses-pilotes-gratuitement-avec-driverscloud

This key was indeed issued by a vendor.
Most of the time, they send a link that allows installing the corresponding driver.
But personally, I wouldn’t go to Driverscloud, the drivers are repackaged and no longer have a valid signature. They may claim to be well-intentioned, but I’d need more to be convinced :-)

But if your key worked before and suddenly stopped, that’s not a good sign regarding its integrity.
First, check if anything is happening in the Device Manager.
If it appears, reinstall the official driver sent by the publisher.

If still nothing, open a case with the key provider who will probably send you a new one.
