Hello,

When I turn on my PC with Windows 10, I get a black screen with the following message:

attempting boot from a USB device
Missing operating system

French translation:

tentative de démarrage à partir d'un périphérique USB
Système d'exploitation manquant

I don't understand why I get this message, if someone can help me, I thank you in advance

Sincerely

Hello.
Disconnect your USB devices (USB drive or external hard drive) from your PC.
If it’s still the same, it means that your hard drive containing Windows is disconnected or malfunctioning, or that the Windows startup files are corrupted.

My PC is new, so I don't think the hard drive is faulty. How can I tell if the hard drive containing Windows is disconnected? Or if the Windows boot files are corrupted?

The problem only occurs when I have a USB drive connected.

Thank you for your help.

It's definitely a bootable USB drive, change the boot order in the BIOS and set the hard drive containing Windows as the first option.

Sorry, but I don't know how to change the boot order in the BIOS to set the hard drive containing Windows as the first option.
