Hello,
I have a problem with my Samsung A5 2017 smartphone for a few days: I tried to recharge it because the battery was almost flat. I plugged it in with the original charger. A little while later, when it should have been charging, I noticed that the battery still showed 15%. Leaving it on charge longer didn’t change anything.
I then tried a different charger but the same problem: the battery icon changes to signal charging (a small lightning bolt appears) but the charge remains stuck at 15%.
I then tried several things I found on the Internet: Wipe cache partition, Wipe data. I used Safe Mode without success, factory reset without success.
So I let my phone turn off by itself, and it lasted a long time, which makes me think the battery itself is fine (because usually, once it reaches 15%, it drops fairly quickly). I then put it back on charge, the battery immediately jumped to 15% and then stopped changing.
My device offers an update, except that you need at least 20% battery...
So that’s my problem... The explanation is a bit long, but with everything I’ve tested, I feel like the battery is fine but the display is bugged.
