EPSON XP-247 printer not recognized by the PC despite correct connections

Hello,

I have used my EPSON XP-247 printer several times without any issues. However, for the past few weeks, I can no longer start a print job from my computer. I am not using it wirelessly, as that hasn’t worked for a long time, but rather through a connection cable.

I can initiate the test page from my computer, but when I try to print a document, the printer doesn’t respond and the queue can grow longer, with no error message appearing.

I have just uninstalled the software and re-registered the printer, but I am stuck at the printer selection because I get the following message: “unable to locate the printer” even though it is powered on and properly connected via the cable. I don’t know what to do anymore.
