Hello,
I am using Windows 10 Home.
My printer, an Epson XP-645, was working fine (WiFi connection) until Windows did an update (around version 1903). Now, it is impossible to print. The built-in scanner continues to work.
An error message sometimes indicates that there is no printer, that the driver is not recognized, or that the printer is not detected.
Even the "printer" pdf (Adobe) no longer works. The same error message appears.
However, it is still possible to print from my laptop (ASUS, Win 10 v. 1903 as well).
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 69.0

Hello,
first, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling your printer drivers
by downloading the latest available from the manufacturer's website.
If that doesn't work, either uninstall the problematic update or restore the system to a date prior to the installation of the problematic update.

Thank you MaxGix,
I indeed reinstalled the drivers, with no effect. I also downloaded drivers from another source. The drivers install correctly, the printer is recognized, but when printing the test page, a message indicates that it is not possible to communicate with the printer.
The network works: the ping to the printer is successful and the scan works (over WiFi).
What is concerning is that printing to PDF is no longer working either, which makes me think it’s a Windows issue rather than a printer one. I have of course not received any response from Microsoft...
Windows tells me there are no restore points available.
I am therefore hesitant to use the "Rollback to previous version of Windows 10" option since I don't know what will happen. Like everyone else, I make backups and, like everyone else, they are not complete... :-)
Thank you for your help!

Unfortunately, the solutions are limited; either Epson releases an update for its drivers or Microsoft a patch for its update. So apart from uninstalling the problematic update in the meantime, I don't see ...
Maybe raising a fuss on one of Epson's social media pages will get the brands to react more quickly... (FB Page)

Hello
it seems that this is due to an issue with a Windows update
(several people have already posted about this issue with Epson printers)
contact Epson customer service who will provide you with the appropriate instructions
