Hello, I have a problem with my PS4. I was playing peacefully until my little sister accidentally unplugged my power cable, and since then it shows "cannot start the PS4". What should I do?

Hello,

You will need to activate safe mode on the console. ↓
First, select option "1" and if that doesn’t work, move on to option 4.

" In case of a problem starting the PlayStation®4, Safe Mode allows the PS4(TM) system to start with the minimum required functionalities. Safe Mode offers several options that may help you fix various issues and allow your PlayStation 4 to start normally. "

Starting the PS4 in Safe Mode:

- Turn off the PlayStation 4 by pressing the power button on the front. The power indicator will blink for a few seconds and then turn off.

- Once the PlayStation 4 is off, press and hold the power button, then release it after hearing two beeps: the first when pressing the button, the second 7 seconds later.

- Connect the DUALSHOCK®4 controller using the supplied USB cable, then press the PS button on the controller.

Safe Mode Options:

1 - Restart the system - Disables Safe Mode and starts the PlayStation 4 system normally.

2 - Change resolution - Changes the screen resolution (480p) when restarting the PlayStation 4 system.

3 - Update system software - Allows the PlayStation 4 system to update its system software via the Internet, a USB flash drive, or a disc.

4 - Rebuild Database - Scans the drive and creates a new database from all the content. This process may take some time, depending on the type and amount of data.

5 - Reset PS4 - IMPORTANT: This option results in the loss of all data and settings. It deletes all user data and restores all PS4 system settings to their original state. This option is similar to [Reset PS4] in the (Settings) menu and does not delete the system software (firmware).

6 - Reset PS4 (reinstall system software) - IMPORTANT: This option results in the loss of all information contained on the hard drive, including the system software, followed by a message prompting you to connect a USB storage device containing the system software. You can then confirm your choice.
