PS3 stuck on startup

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my PS3 tonight. I tried to turn on my PlayStation, the PS3 turns on just fine, the green light is on, but the home menu where you can see all the users of the PlayStation doesn't display, and in its place is a page with the default theme and nothing else like this (click the link, it's an image I found online):

http://www.psp-themes.net/data/media/10/ps3%20theme.jpg

And on top of that, I can't even connect the controllers to my PS3 --' what a hassle!

Has anyone else experienced the same problem, or does anyone know what I should do because I admit I'm lost and I don't know what to do.. so I need a solution fast. Solidarity please!! :)

Hi!!

I think this might help you

- With the PS3 turned on at the XMB, press and hold the On/Off button until the Playstation 3 turns off (don't release the button until it is off).
- Once this is done, turn on the Playstation 3 by pressing the On/Off button while keeping it pressed. After 5 seconds, you will hear a "beep", then 2 seconds later, a double beep. You can then release the button.

The recovery will then start. Connect your controller to your Playstation 3 with a USB cable, then press the PS button. You will then be able to enjoy recovery mode!
