Hello,
I recently reset my PC and reinstalled Windows 10. However, a cmd box opens by itself from time to time (twice today) with the following commands:
FINDSTR: Unable to open c:\ProgramData\acer\updater2\updater2.xml
The specified path cannot be found.
Unable to access the file C:\Program Files\DriverSetupUtility\FUB\+
FINDSTR: Unable to open c:\ProgramData\packard bell\updater2\updater2.xml
Unable to access the file C:\Program Files\DriverSetupUtility\FUB\+
The specified path cannot be found.
FINDSTR: Unable to open c:\ProgramData\gateway\updater2\updater2.xml
The specified path cannot be found.
Unable to access the file C:\Program Files\DriverSetupUtility\FUB\+
FINDSTR: Unable to open c:\ProgramData\founder\updater2\updater2.xml
The specified path cannot be found.
Unable to access the file C:\Program Files\DriverSetupUtility\FUB\+
I think it might be coming from either Avast driver updater or Driverscloud.
I would like to know what I could do to remedy this.
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 80.0.3987.163

Hello,
The manager is written in the window => DriverSetupUtility
Uninstall it and it should be fine. -
Hello,
You can check the programs that start up with Autoruns in the "Logon," "Scheduled Tasks," and "Services" sections.
Disable unnecessary and bothersome items by unchecking them or by right-clicking > Delete.
For services, you can set them to "Manual" or "Disabled" with services.msc in Windows. -
Hello
remove avast driver updater
remove driverscloud
and all the other magic software you have propped up your operating system with
imagine that my PC works without them!

acer updater seems legitimate to me, even if it serves no purpose
avast serves as my antivirus for web+files+mail, all the other options are useless
At least take the time to respond!
A thank you is nice.
Mark as resolved if your problem has been solved. -
I had never downloaded this software... I uninstalled it. Thank you very much.

RE_
Actually, it's a pre-installed Acer program that often causes this kind of issues

See you soon!
