Everything opens with one click.

Hello,

I have a big problem that has been driving me crazy for a few days. All my folders and files open with a single click instead of a double click. It's very annoying. I also have issues with text selection using the mouse; if I click in front of a word, it directly selects the whole word or even the entire paragraph...

Do you know where this might come from?

Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 8.0

    Download ZHPDiag and scan your PC, you might have spywares:

    Nothing to do with the mouse settings.

    I also have a problem with the dropdown menus; I click and they close immediately, I have to click several times until they open.

    Thank you for the software, I will take a look.

    No, that's not it; the selection is indeed with a double click.

    This causes quite a few problems; I doubt that's where it's coming from.

    Even to pause or play on iTunes, for example, when I click, it often pauses for not even half a second and then immediately goes back to play, and I have to click several times for it to finally pause.

    You are very infected!!

    Moreover, you have a lot of toolbars!!

    I don't know if you should reinstall everything or try a cleanup!?

    To start, uninstall all the toolbars you can in add and remove programs.

    We're going to try to clean everything:

    1- Download AD-Remover to your Desktop. (Thanks to C_XX)
    http://www.teamxscript.org/adremoverTelechargement.html

    Mirror:

    http://forum-aide-contre-virus.be/download/C_XX/AD-R.exe

    /!\ Disconnect from the internet and close all running applications /!\

    ? Temporarily disable the real-time protection of your Antivirus and Antispywares while using ADremover, as they may greatly interfere with the search and cleaning procedure of the tool.

    - Double-click on the Ad-remover icon located on your Desktop.
    - On the page, click the "Clean" button
    - Confirm the launch by clicking yes
    - Let the tool work.

    2- Download AdwcCleaner: http://general-changelog-team.fr/telechargements/logiciels/viewdownload/75-outils-de-xplode/28-adwcleaner

    Install adwcleaner and click on Delete, then restart your PC

    3- /!\ Vista users: Don’t forget to disable UAC just for the duration of the disinfection of your PC, it will be reactivated later:
    Tutorial: http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/8343-vista-desactiver-l-uac

    Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop:
    http://www.malekal.com/tutorial_MalwareBytes_AntiMalware.php

    or here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam/program/mbam-setup.exe

    /!\ Vista and Windows 7 users: Right-click on the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware logo, "run as Administrator"

    . Double click on the downloaded file to start the installation process.
    . In the "update" tab, click the Search for update button
    . If the firewall asks for permission to connect for Malwarebytes, accept
    . Once the update is complete
    . go to the Search tab
    . Select Perform a quick scan
    . Click Search
    . The scan starts.
    . At the end of the analysis, a message appears: The scan finished normally. Click 'Show results' to display all found items.
    . Click Ok to continue.
    . If any malwares were detected, click Show results
    . Select all (or leave checked) and click Delete selection Malwarebytes will destroy the files and registry keys and put a copy in quarantine.
    . At the end of the scan, MBAM may need to restart the PC to finalize the removal, so don't panic, restart your PC!!!

    Your report shows me that there is a very big difference; you no longer have any spywares. But you still have a few toolbars.

    It may be necessary to reset some services.

    Is the problem you had at the beginning resolved?

    Copy and paste these lines into ZHPFIX:

    [HKCU\Software\AppDataLow\Software\ConduitSearchScopes] => Toolbar.Conduit
    [HKCU\Software\Ask&Record] => Toolbar.Agent
    [HKCU\Software\Ask&Record] => Toolbar.Agent
    [HKCU\Software\AppDataLow\Software\ConduitSearchScopes] => Toolbar.Conduit
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Freecorder => Toolbar.Conduit
    EmptyTemp
    Emptyflash

    You copy/paste these lines and in ZHPfix you click on the folder (to the right of the camera), then you click OK (at the bottom), then on All and Clean. If your desktop disappears, press ctrl+alt+delete, then in the Applications tab, click on new task and in the box type explorer, then ok. Finally reboot your PC

    I noticed that you have a problem with your MBR. If you still have issues after this operation, I will hand over to more experienced helpers.

    You will open a discussion in the security section of this forum, presenting your latest ZHPDiag report.
