Corel video studio 2019

Solved

Hello,
My computer has been reinstalled (new processor, new motherboard, and upgraded memory).
Since then, I can no longer read my projects. Most of the video clips are replaced by a big black and white bar. All the audio clips as well, along with the music. I found a way to restore the video clips one by one (huge job) but not the audio clips and the music. Corel's technical support tells me that all the video clips were deleted from the computer during the reinstallation and that I have to re-record everything (impossible task).

On top of that, for the past few days, I can no longer record an audio clip or music. And that has nothing to do with the reinstallation as it doesn’t work in a small test project I did afterward either.

The last problem that technical support cannot (or does not want to) answer.
When I open a project, in the library, I should see the left part with the names of the different projects and on the right the clips of the selected project. None of that appears, and no matter how much I click around, nothing!
I don’t know what to do!

Thank you for taking the time to read me.
I hope someone can help me.

Thank you in advance

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 74.0

Hello yes that's a lot it is certain that a project is virtual finding them as they were after your reinstallation is impossible
I don't know your software I'm on Pinnacle I can only remind you of the basics
with your new installation you will need to go back to the "configuration" to set the destination of the files, the path between the software and your hard drive in "storage location" "project settings"
now if you are missing windows or functions it means the software is poorly installed
Corel support should help you I recommend sending a "ticket" where you describe your issue they will respond by giving you a procedure either to repair or to uninstall this is not a trivial operation as it requires intervention in the registry and if you are not used to it, it is better to trust an expert
out of curiosity what configuration did you choose for your new PC

Hello, thank you for your response.
I will get some help because there are things I don't understand.
Moreover, I have been in almost daily contact with Corel's technical support for weeks now. They have already made me uninstall and reinstall this software several times along with other maneuvers! Each time, I follow their instructions exactly but I'm still at the same point!! I despair that they can help me.
I am working with Windows 10. Does that answer your question?

Hello, I would like to have an idea of your PC configuration, that is to say the components that make up your computer tower, processor, RAM level and hard drive capacity, including SSD.
Converse with Corel in writing to calmly resume and execute their directives.

Hello, I don't know where to look for all the elements you are asking for. What I can tell you is that the motherboard is AMD ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING and the processor is AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 8 cores, 16 threads. I still have the boxes!
As for Corel's guidelines, I always follow them to the letter. They send me links to allow me to uninstall, reinstall, etc., and I use them. I am always in contact with them.
Thank you in advance.

For the engine it's good but you forget the SSD HDD hard drives? Very important click on the names of drives C and D in the tree structure right-click and properties.

Here is what I found:
Crucial_CT 525MX300SSD1 Disk
WDC WD 10EARS-00Y5B1 Disk

Disk C: 300GB used; 188GB free
Disk D: 761GB used; 169GB free

I hope these are the details you wanted.

Hello, your computer is perfectly suited to your usage.
Remember to work on your projects on C: Crucial SSD, meaning your clips to edit and your projects. Since the disk is small, consider transferring your clips and deleting your projects once your film is finalized.
As for your main issue, I think it's more about your music and video folders. Corel is not the cause because if you provide the path to Corel to import a film, it will do it, I'm almost sure. There remains one ultimate radical solution, which is the one my nephew, a computer installer, chose: formatting my C: drive and reinstalling my software. I advise you to have it done by a professional, price: around €40 at the workshop.
