Hello everyone,
For the past 2 or 3 days, I haven’t been able to establish a connection between my TV and my PC.
I used to be able to view photos, music, or even videos on my TV from my PC via my SFR box.
Currently, my TV no longer "sees" my PC.
However, the TV is connected to my box's network and the PC is as well.
Is there anyone who could help me try to restore the PC/TV connection?
My TV is a Hisense smart TV, my PC is an Asus, and my box is SFR.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 70.0

    Hello,

You mention that your problem is resolved, that's great!

But the forum is community-driven and the solution you found could help others... Anyway, you can add it, and then it will be possible to mark the topic as resolved.

    Hello,
Yes, I marked my issue as resolved, not finding any signage allowing me to remove my problem from the forum since I couldn't find a response. In fact, no solution was found, making it pointless since the problem "pollutes" the Forum...
    Best regards.

An unresolved issue does not "pollute"... however, if one mentions it as resolved when it is not... that is in vain...

We will leave the subject open and who knows, maybe someone will come to give you one or more ideas for solutions....

    Hello,

''I could visualize photos of the music or even videos on my TV''

What did you use to see your PC on the TV?
    HDMI cable?
    Specify it.
Otherwise, if it’s with the HDMI cable, you need to press Windows + P and duplicate the screen.
Then on your TV, switch the sources to find the right HDMI.

What version of Windows do you have?
    W10, Seven...?

    Your TV must have WIFI.
Check if it is still enabled in the Network settings of your Hisense smart TV.

If you have powerline adapters, reset them, unplug and plug them back in, same for the box.

Did you have an update when this happened?

Hello Pistouri, and thank you for getting back to me. I will try to respond point by point to your questions.
I was seeing the media from the PC (photos, music, videos) on my Hisense television via the wifi from my SFR box. My PC is connected to the box, and there was a wireless link from the box to the TV.
The Windows version is Windows 10.
    The TV has WIFI.
The TV indicates that it is connected to the local network at home in the network settings.
I do not have a powerline adapter.
I think there was an automatic update of Windows when this happened, but I'm not sure...
Looking forward to hearing from you, thank you.

''My PC is connected to my box''
    Therefore, it’s a desktop PC.

Were you using the explorer to see your TV from your PC?

To see your PC in the devices.
    Try this → Enable SMB1
    The tutorial

    Or go to Control Panel
Type in the search box on the taskbar (it's the magnifying glass) → control panel
    Programs
    Programs and Features
Turn Windows features on or off (it's the line on the left)
Go to → SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support
Check the 3 boxes including → SMB 1.0/CIFS Server
it is unchecked by default, enable it.

    Close the Control Panel window.
    Restart your PC

Check if you can see your TV in the explorer → Network
    Or in Settings → Devices

Make sure the wifi is set to private.
    Settings → Network and Internet
    Status
    Change connection properties
    Select → Private.

Thank you for all your information, that's kind. I will try to do that (I'm not a specialist...) and I will come back to tell you the result.
    See you!

    A question

    What antivirus do you have?

I hope you don't have Avast, Windows Defender is enough with Windows 10.
If that's the case, uninstall it with its utility
    The procedure
    Rather here

there was a similar problem to yours on this post.

I just did the operation you indicated, I checked the box for SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support and the other 3 boxes were already checked. Then OK and a new window appeared: "Applying changes in progress" and then the PC restarted.

But I still cannot see the TV among the devices.

As for antivirus, I only have Windows Defender, and I have always had it. Should I uninstall it anyway?

Don't touch Windows Defender, it was just in case you had another antivirus.

    Look for file sharing
    Enable or disable network discovery
    This post (message 12)
    It needs to be enabled.

Check the service → Function Discovery Resource Publication
    It’s also in the link.

    Good news....
I owe you one, I reread your messages and in post 6 you told me: "If you have powerline adapters, reset them, unplug and plug them back in, same for the box."
I don't have any powerline adapters, but I turned off the box and then back on. And now the TV has come back into the devices, I even checked that the TV was properly detecting the media from the PC... Everything is fine.

To check the service in question, how should I proceed?

In any case, I sincerely thank you for taking the time to address my issue and for helping me out this way. That's great.
    Best regards.

    Content for you.
As for the rest, sometimes it's difficult for file sharing because W10 doesn't have or no longer has a homegroup, which could have been related to your TV.

A firmware update of your box might have also solved the problem, but who knows when it would have restarted on its own.
You almost needed a power cut, but we won't say bad things on the forum.

Nice of you to reread message 6 → If you have powerline adapters, reset them, unplug and replug, same for the box.
So it was indeed in my first response, you did well to reread as I was running out of solutions.

Remember to mark this post as resolved but also this one.
    Good luck
    Have a nice upcoming weekend.
