Full HD LED TV or Smart TV

Hello and thank you to the whole team at "Comment Ça Marche!!!"

I want to buy a 102 or 107 cm TV, but I'm hesitating between a Samsung Full HD LED TV
or a Samsung Smart TV. If the internet connection is lost, can we still watch TV?

Thank you in advance for your answers, and I wish you happy end of year celebrations.

Hello, I notice that you are missing some technical elements to choose a TV. If it's to pay the same price, why not get a smart TV? For my part, I believe it's not essential; there are other ways to get the same thing for less money. The internet connection is designed to access paid options, a box or a key that connects the PC to the television will do the same thing but for free.

I’m a bit like the internet user "glandu"; so-called smart TVs are just marketing gimmicks. The proof is that in the control room, no TV is connected; we go through a computer that is itself connected to the control room, and then we do whatever we want.
At your place, it’s the same; you just need to connect a computer to your TV, and you’ll have everything you want (of course, that adds an extra cable).

Thank you for your response, idiot. Yes indeed, I'm not a huge pro when it comes to TVs. Will the Google Chromecast allow me to access YouTube, Deezer, the web, and watch movies from my computer???

    Have a great holiday season.
