Hello,
Ten days ago, my Orange TV decoder stopped working after several years (it's understandable, after all, it's just a machine). Orange replaced it, and after a day and a half, the same problem occurred again!!!!! Strange: tested and retested, Orange replaced the device again. It worked... yesterday, same problem (5 days later). I just spoke with the Orange expert technician who told me that there is incompatibility between my Samsung LED TV (1st or 2nd generation) and the decoders, due to updates. Therefore, I would need to buy a 6th or 7th generation TV!!!! Very kind of this man, but my TV works fine and I don't want to make a new purchase until it breaks down!!! Could you please tell me if this diagnosis makes sense and if I should resign myself to relying on the 19 channels of my old TNT decoder that had been discarded a long time ago?
Thank you for your advice, I am quite desperate as I no longer know who to turn to since Orange's support has let me down after 10 days of good and loyal service.
Sincerely
Kitri

Hello, there’s no reason for the television to be responsible for a decoder failure, that’s nonsense!
How are you connected between the decoder and the TV? HDMI or Peritel cable?
And how between the Livebox and the decoder? CPL, Ethernet, or WiFi plugs?
The problem probably comes either from the decoder or the Livebox (does the TV appear to be activated in the Livebox menu (http://192.168.1.1)?)

Between the decoder and the TV: HDMI but I also tried using a SCART cable and it didn't work any better. Between the decoder and the LiveBox: Ethernet.
3 decoders in 10 days is quite a lot: Orange's explanation is that due to updates, an incompatibility was triggered between the two devices. What is certain is that the failure occurred each time during the night: in the morning the decoder was off and it was impossible to make it work: as soon as we get to the hour, it turns off and the TV screen goes black. I intend to try with a more recent television to be sure, but in the meantime, I am looking to find out if there might be another explanation.
Thank you

Disable the automatic standby of the decoder
In case of disconnection of the Orange TV, turn off the livebox and decoder by unplugging them from the power outlets, then plug the livebox back in, and when it is resynchronized, plug the decoder back in.
