Increase RAM on HP Pavilion dv7-2212ef

My HP Pavilion DV7, 2212 EF has 3GB RAM. It has two slots designed for 2GB each. Mistral IA tells me that it should be possible to upgrade to 2×4GB but with no guarantee of the result. Could someone tell me who has successfully made the modification?

    Hello,

    With such a low-powered PC, the best option would be to migrate to Linux Mint; it’s not just a RAM issue. If the laptop only has a T4300 and a standard hard drive, don’t expect a miracle.

    Hello,

    There is little chance that someone both has the same yodel and has installed 8 GB of memory, but RAM vendors do say the maximum capacity is
    8 GB on two slots and provide the specifications, which means you need to buy 2 x 4.
