Hello,

Hello,

We have connected a DVD Writer to the Samsung TV via USB.
We can't watch the movie or song...
However, it only says the drive is connected.
Thank you for helping us.

Hello,

-- We need to know the exact model of the TV... Samsung makes thousands of models... And also to find out what types of video files are accepted by this TV... Check the TV manual.

-- What is a "DVD Writer" ...??? Is it software on a PC or a device..? Brand and model...

-- Where does this video file come from..?? It could very well have protection..?? Does a commercial video work ..?? If I understand correctly, this system has never worked..??

Hello,

Thank you again, here are the details of the two machines. . .

- Samsung UHD 7 series TV UE55NU7083
- Portable DVD Writer SE-208GB/RSBD

However, they wrote in English "Connecting the USB to your TV & Android Tablet".

On the other hand, we can watch on the computer with the DVD Writer.

It's not set up like that...

1° It's true for the burned DVDs you've made yourself... not for commercial DVDs

2° To watch commercial DVDs, the player must be connected to a PC and the PC to the TV... (subject to confirmation)

All of this is not clear... there have been incompatibilities since a Windows 10 update in 2016...
And there is firmware for this device https://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=23&v_code=42875
depending on the version, you may need to update it...

In my opinion, it's mainly Samsung that should provide the solution as they certainly have thousands of devices in this situation...

Hello,

The DVD burned by oneself doesn’t work, whether it's MP3, JPEG, or AVI...

It depends on the encoding used. For example, an .AVI video encoded with FFmpeg, etc. This isn't something you improvise.

Connect your USB to your tablet (Android) equipped with the "VLC for Android" player and you can play your video with VLC...

That said, you have never sent an analysis of your video as seen by "Mediainfo," so we don't know and we're just exchanging empty words.. To say: "It doesn't work."
