Photos not showing up in the gallery

I just bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro. Is your camera not set up to save your photos to the SD card? On my device, the functionality of the SD card reader is random, and the camera cannot save the photos. I was losing all my photos. I resolved the issue by saving to the device's memory. But that did not solve my SD card problem. Best regards.

Hello everyone, and I have exactly the same problem with the camera.
It was working until now, but since yesterday, nothing. I keep taking photos, they appear in the small circle at the bottom left, but as soon as I click on them, it turns dark gray and they don't show up in my gallery.
I want to emphasize that I have tried everything, even resetting the phone. ????????????

As I mentioned in another message, I solved the problem by removing the corrupted SD card. I hope this can help.

Well, double post, but it's for the good cause: I found the solution to my (and therefore your!) problem:

Corrupted SD card.

I removed it, then I "deleted" it from my phone and voilà! The photos are saving, and... Pokémon Go, which hadn't launched since January, is working (I assume the card has been in bad shape since then...).

I'm reaching out about this topic because I’ve been having the exact same problem for... three or four days? It started with the "Scrabble Go" app that won't launch and gives me an error message about insufficient storage space.

Then I noticed the day before yesterday that my gallery is empty. And any photo I take disappears instantly, just like Chanel28 mentioned.

It feels like this is a problem that will be resolved with an update, or is my optimism leading me astray?
