Hello,
I have a MacBook Pro with an empty hard drive and I'm unable to install Yosemite, for example.
I tried to install it directly from the utility, but it gives me an error.
I tried holding down Alt+Command+R to do it via the internet with the "earth" symbol, but I can't get it to appear.
I tried to erase the disk in MS-DOS and Mac OS Journaled, but I always get an error saying that it can't unmount the disk.
I also tried taking the hard drive and doing it on another Mac, but nothing works.
I have in my possession 2 MacBook Pros and 2 Windows computers.
Could someone please help me? :(
Best regards.

Hello,
Why specifically Yosemite? If a Mac can run Yosemite, it can also run El Capitan. And El Capitan is smoother than Yosemite.
Furthermore, to install any version of Mac OS, you do not need to format in MS DOS. Only the Mac OS Extended format is valid. And this should be on a GUID partition scheme.
If you have the option to download El Capitan, take it from this link:
https://itunes.apple.com/fr/app/os-x-el-capitan/id1147835434?ls=1&mt=12
Then, create a USB installation drive for El Capitan by following this procedure:
https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/44770-creer-une-cle-usb-d-installation-os-x-10-11-alias-el-capitan
Once the drive is created, boot from this drive by starting the Mac with the alt key held down to allow volume selection.
Then using Disk Utility from the drive, format the internal disk in Mac OS Extended on GUID scheme,
Once that is done, exit Disk Utility, exit the OS X Utilities, and start the installation of El Capitan.
Good luck.
EDIT:I tried holding down Alt+Command+R to do it via the internet with the "earth" symbol, but I can't get it to appear.
That doesn't work with all Macs. Older Macs do not allow this procedure. I do not know the exact model of the Mac in question.

And a Mac that does not have a recovery partition (a blank disk or one that has not had any version later than Mac OS X 10.6 installed) also does not allow you to install after booting with the cmd R keys pressed, due to the lack of an internal recovery partition.
The verbal ticks to urgently ban:
“well”, “there you go”, “so”, “I would say”, “come on...”, “let's say”, “actually”, “like that”, “I want to ask you”...
