Is it risky to force the installation of iOS on an old iPad? Solved

Hello!  I have an iPad 2nd or 3rd generation that is limited to iOS 9.3.5, so it’s very restricted. No Netflix, etc.  Following this article that explains how to force the installation of a newer iOS, I have some questions before proceeding with this installation. https://www.commentcamarche.net/mobile/ios/791-installer-des-applis-sur-iphone-ou-ipad-avec-une-ancienne-version-d-ios/ People who know quite a bit about Apple have warned me about the consequences of making this update. For example, the iPad may not work at all or function very poorly after the update (slow performance, etc.). Could you please inform me if there are likely consequences to doing this? If so, what are they? And should I settle for iOS 10 or can I go up to 11 or even 12 without any issues?  If you have the answer, I would greatly appreciate your sharing! Hello, There is no way to force the installation to a version higher than iOS 9.3.5. This version is the last one compatible with your iPad. Hello,  The version of iOS will "determine" the latest compatible version of an application. If a new version/update has been released and it is supported by iOS, then the App Store will propose it to you (Updates tab). => Automatic updates are possible/you can activate them (Settings => iTunes Store and App Store). Hello,   When the app stops working (it will definitely happen one day): https://www.netflix.com/fr-en/login https://ici.radio-canada.ca/premiere  So use Safari (Apple's browser is included with the purchase), if it doesn't work/redirects to the App Store, switch to "desktop" version (like a computer) before opening the site/after typing the keywords in a search engine:  If you are still redirected to the App Store, install an independent browser (Firefox). => Use the same method (it requests an impossible update to install the Firefox app). => Switch to the computer version (the 3 horizontal lines for the latest version compatible with iOS 9). Firefox (current version - iOS 12):  Thank you for keeping me updated => "It's resolved thanks to / I found it needed" or "Still stuck" because I often have several steps and always a trick up my sleeve!!!
