Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero motherboard that I am trying to update from the BIOS. I formatted a USB drive to FAT32 and copied the M11H.CAP file onto it. When I launch the BIOS and try to read the file to start the update, I get the message "the selected file is not a proper bios," so I cannot initiate the update. I checked the motherboard manual for a solution, made sure to plug my USB drive into the correct port, and ensured that I had downloaded the latest version of the update and renamed it correctly, but nothing works; I still get the same message "the selected file is not a proper bios." I am confused and don’t know what else to do to update my motherboard.
I thank anyone in advance who has an answer to my problem, as I am really out of ideas...

Hi,
On the BIOS update zip file found here: https://rog.asus.com/fi/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-xi-hero-model/
You have a CAP file.
So there’s no need to use a USB key, apparently.
This method of updating the BIOS via EZ Flash should work: https://www.malekal.com/mise-a-jour-bios-asus-ez-flash/
Apparently, you need to run BIOSrenamer first.
