ASUS plug: what does "check system power error" mean? Solved

I have an ASUS laptop.

For the past 2 days, I've been occasionally encountering a freeze on a BIOS screen during startup with the following message:

"check system power error please plug in ac adapter"

When I restart, I generally no longer see the message.

When this message appears, you need to plug in the power cord, and then you can click OK
the update takes place, and then there will be some reboot steps; and everything works!

Hello Shimrhod,

This message means that the computer does not recognize your power supply (charger or power adapter).
If you are using the original one, it may be defective; otherwise, sometimes when using a universal charger, the message may also appear, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the laptop isn't charging.

Often, it’s just that they recommend buying the charger from them ;)

Hello,

I have the same problem since this morning with the original charger of my Asus.
When the screen comes on at startup, I can do absolutely nothing and I have to force my PC
to shut down.
When I turn it back on, I no longer have the issue... It's one time out of two.
The computer asks me to restart it to finish configuring "System Firmware," and if I
restart it, the message comes back...

Same problem for about a week now, when I turn on my computer, it instantly shuts off only to turn itself back on until today when I received this message that everyone sees.

Maybe this can help avoid a forced shutdown for some: WordPad does not respond when the error message pops up (so you cannot click on ok or exit), you have to use the mouse to exit the error message, thus avoiding forced shutdown.

I just spoke to a technician: it seems that Asus has reached an agreement with Microsoft and they came up with the idea of automatically making Asus BIOS updates through Microsoft's Windows Update.

So I probably messed up big time, but I downloaded the new BIOS system
I just plugged in an Asus mouse on the PC of the said brand and I did the update..
The real question now is whether my PC is going to die or not (basically)
It's a bit of an abuse from these brands to do anything for the money...

Personally, I started by plugging in the charger. Then I clicked on ok, then exit and finally yes. After my PC restarted and I was on the desktop, I restarted it again, and then the update was done and there you go!
