Disconnect used Xbox 360 live account

Hello,

I bought a second-hand Xbox 360 to replay old games. However, I'm facing a problem: the previous user did not log out, and I can't disconnect without their password. I've sent them emails to try to find a solution, but they're not responding (obviously).

Is there a way to disconnect their Xbox Live account without their password? A way to completely reset the console or something like that?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi,

See here: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-37641553-comment-reinitialiser-votre-console-xbox-360

Otherwise, here: https://support.xbox.com/fr-BE/xbox-one/console/reset-console-to-factory-defaults

By completely resetting the console and deleting the data, the issue should be resolved.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your help! However, I had already tried that before and it doesn't disconnect his Xbox Live account.

Do you have another idea?

Tried what?

The first or second option?

If in the second, you have correctly chosen the option "Reset and delete everything," there will be no account left afterwards, as all data will be completely deleted.

The first one because the second is for Xbox One! On Xbox 360 it's "initial setup" and it doesn't remove the old account..

Indeed,

That being said, the procedure on X360 that asks for the serial number also deletes user accounts and Xbox Live, as it is necessary to reconnect afterwards.

I found it with the serial number! Thank you very much for your help; I was really tired of struggling with this issue.
I wish you a great evening :)
