For the past few days, I have not been receiving certain channels from the Canal+ bouquet. The following message appears: "Program encrypted, check your rights". I am receiving free channels and some channels from the bouquet: TF1, M6, and TNT channels perfectly. I have reactivated my rights several times without success.
When I select the Canal+ channels (C+ décalé,...), the image appears clearly for a quarter of a second and then the message appears: "Program encrypted, check your rights"
Decoder: Aston Simba 202

Hello,
I have been having this issue with the C+ channels (the "Check your rights" panel appears).
I changed my C+ card (old type) and the problem persists. C+ will not exchange it for a new standard one.
I can no longer make scheduled recordings, as the switch from C+ "clear to encrypted" results in the "check your rights" panel showing up, which remains during the recording with no other images!!.
Directly, a simple channel change or a power cycle allows for proper decryption.
Additionally, I am unable to download new firmware.
My reception quality is 75%. Image is perfect.
Is there any update on this issue?
Thank you all.-
Hello,
Since my previous message, I contacted Aston, who spent half an hour assisting me over the phone, helping me to reset my device and reprogram the channels "manually".
After testing, the issue still persists, meaning I get stuck on the warning "check your rights", as many have noticed. This occurs only during the transitions from "clear" to "encrypted", so I cannot schedule recordings. To reset, there's no need to remove the card, just re-enter the current channel number on the remote and the message disappears.
I haven't contacted Aston again, who told me that everyone is having issues because Canal keeps changing constantly.
Dialogue will be impossible with both Canal and Aston.
Note that the card readers of Simba 202s are proprietary Astoncrypt
I don't believe in a customer service repair or in buying another SAT terminal.
The only solution I see is to get a Canal Mediaguard for €8/month hoping it works well with the rest of my equipment.
Thank you for your opinions.- Continuation and Conclusion as far as I'm concerned.
Hello everyone,
Your messages clearly indicate the extent of the "damages" in this matter.
I want to clarify that my reader, an "Astoncrypt," will not be compatible with the new card (Info Aston and Canal).
I believe the same goes for "Viacess" readers. Finally, Canal has indicated that they will not send the new card to subscribers who have a "private" terminal (although it seems they are doing so anyway)
Conclusion.
I went to the C+ agency that had already provided me with my card. I was rented, for 8 euros/month, an old and terrible "Médiagard" terminal of an old generation, without a security deposit. Canal clarified to this agent that they would not change my card for the same reasons. And it works!
This is thus total chaos. I no longer believe it will be possible in the future to have your own terminals.
Note: I had given up on "Canal via ADSL" two years ago due to constant image freezing issues.
Good luck, Jacques91

Comment ajouter la clé de Thor sur Aston Simba 202s 2 carte manuellement ? Merci de votre aide.

I have the same problem with 13th Street, Breizh, etc.
Canal + claims that it comes from the Simba, but I think they changed something with the frequencies. The whole thing is to know what. We'll keep each other updated. -
Having had similar issues with the C+bouquet, I did some research thinking that the channels had changed position.
To my surprise, the 4 C+bouquet channels are no longer listed in the Csat on my Simba 202. -
I have the same problem, I noticed that by removing the CSat card and then putting it back, this message disappears and everything goes back to normal. However, if you change the channel and the message reappears, you have to repeat the process.
But it's not a job... -
Hello
I would like to subscribe to Canal Sat with my Simba 202. I just tested it at my parents' house, who have a Canal Sat decoder, and when I inserted the card, it didn’t decode anything and told me there was a card problem at the top. Is there a setting I need to adjust? Should I reset it to factory settings since it’s a decoder that was flashed previously? Thank you for your support. -
Hello,
Tony, you need to flip your card; I had the same issue as you this weekend.
As for the problem mentioned earlier, it happened to me too. For example, while watching Teletoon, my son started yelling 15 minutes later, "Dad, the TV isn't working anymore." And the same message, check your rights. By switching channels and going back, it works again, but I haven't looked for a solution yet, if there is one.

I have a problem with my Aston 202, my dashboard displays the message 00020 and the red button in the middle stays on and is stuck.

Same problem as Jacques91... I think it's coming from Canal since they started changing the cards.
Card that I still haven't received by the way... -

Problem solved with Simba 202 with a new Canal card: you need to change the frequency of the channels, for example: go to the menu then list OK - create favorite lists then look for the same channel (the one that doesn't work) in another location, and everything works again; I had channels 3, 6, 30, 31, 33, 34, 36, and 40 that weren’t working.

Good evening everyone, my problem is also resolved with the Aston Simba 202. To get all the channels, you need to perform an automatic scan of all French and foreign channels, then select the channels that have sound (for example, choose the one for 13th Street that has sound, the same for the others like channel 6, etc.). Add them to the favorites list, then exit the menu. With a button on the remote control that I can't remember exactly, I think it's the one on the top left that has a stripe, you press it and you have the list by group. You choose your favorites list and that's it. It took me some time to understand because the documentation is not very clear. Best regards, Johanna
P.S. Can someone tell me if I can use the same card 39 with a second Aston Simba 202? Thank you. -

Hello Mistergregor,
I would like to respond:
Some programs have changed channels on the satellite or are now being broadcast on new frequencies in the C+ package.
In the new card, the access rights have been "moved" accordingly.
You therefore need to modify the frequencies of these "lost" channels, either manually or, which is simpler, through an automatic search (what some do not recommend?). Then select them in favorites.
Here, an auto search has solved everything except for FRANCE 5, for which I apparently no longer have rights???
Good luck

hi, I have a simba 202.
I had the same problem as you for switching from clear to encrypted channels on Canal+.
After emailing Aston technical support, they took back the decoder for free for an update at their place, and now everything works when changing the channel.
Whenever they want, they can.
See you!-
Hello Grimotch, and thank you for your information.
Let me know if it's with the new "Viaccess" card. It seems to be working for me, but the "switch" of the decoder from clear to encrypted when changing channels seems a bit awkward. The warning appears fleetingly. Do you notice this?
You must have changed some channel frequencies following your new rights, I think. Do you have France 5 and on which channel?
Thank you for the customer service info; I contacted them directly and they only suggested resetting and then manually entering the channels.
Can you send me the contact details and possibly the name of your Aston contact via email? How old was your 202?
Sorry to ask so many questions. Thank you in advance for your answers.
Talk to you later, Jacques.

Hi,
The problem appeared about 2 months ago with the old card, so I started the processes by email (see Aston France contacts). In the meantime, I received the new Viacess card about 3 weeks ago, which seemed to be working well (no problems for 2 days). But the return procedure was initiated, so I let it go. They kept the decoder for 2 weeks, and I received it this Wednesday, and it’s fine now.
The warning is fleeting here too, but it's not bothering me.
For France 5, I had to look for another one, but it works.
My 202 is two years old, just out of warranty, but they had offered to take it back before knowing that.
For Aston, the person I spoke to on the phone said there are only two people handling maintenance in Lyon, including one secretary, so that’s kind of tight.
I’ve also been getting quite a few free CanalSat channels for a while (Eurosport, CC Frisson, etc.), is it the same for you??
Talk soon. -
Hello everyone
I also have a Simba 202 and I just received the new Canalsat card; all channels are fine after the manipulation except M6 on the Canalsat bouquet, I can view it on the Imédia bouquet!!
Manipulation: TF1, W9; France 4 - 5 (doubled in the Canalsat bouquet), still M6 which I can't find doubled
Do you have the same problem?
Thank you

Hello,
I just bought a simba202 to receive CANAL+ and the CANALSAT package. In the CSAT package, M6 doesn't "work," you have to hunt for it in another package way down the list. I had to do the same for other channels. I also noticed that some channels are "double" in the channel list of the CSAT package, and there is always one "clear" and one "encrypted," you have to select the right one. -
Yes, M6 is not visible in the CSAT bouquet; you need to find it in another bouquet buried deep in the list of bouquets. I noticed that in the general list of channels, we could not intersperse channels from different bouquets. I circumvented the problem by creating favorite lists that allow for doing whatever we want.

Hello,
I find the image "green" with my simba202 while on the same TV the channels received with the "aerial" have normal colors.
Is there a manipulation? -
Hello everyone,
To fab-le-coach:
On my 202s, I notice a very sensitive alteration of colors as soon as a Pioneer Hard Disk recorder is connected to the second SCART socket.
My old VCR connected under the same conditions does not have this issue.
I conclude that it's a matter of impedance adaptation of the RGB accesses.
With a simple workaround, I corrected this problem. If that’s your case, I can share the information.
Best regards, Jacques.-

Thank you, I unplugged the SCART cable connected between my second input on the Simba202 and my DVD player, and the image returned to normal. Could it be the cable or an incompatibility between the two devices?
If you have a workaround to keep my connection on the second SCART socket of my Simba202 without image distortion, I'm interested!
Cheers -
Response to bob2 and fab-the-coach.
After various tests, I have come to assume that the recorder was interfering with the RGB signals coming from the Simba202. (impedance of the RGB outputs of the Simba202 is inadequate).
First of all, I clarify the connections to the Simba:
1) The TV is connected to the TV socket, the bottom one, in RGB mode.
2) The recorder is connected to the VCR socket, the top one.
3) For playback of recordings, the recorder is directly connected to a second SCART input of the TV with a second cable. It is not possible to do otherwise with the Pioneer.
Regarding this color issue, considering that the SCART inputs and cables of the devices were capable of transferring composite video as well, I disconnected the RGB connection between the Simba2002 and the recorder to keep only the composite video connection, which does not seem to be disturbed.
In practice, this means cutting the three wires corresponding to the RGB signals in a SCART cord and declaring a composite video transfer in the recorder if necessary.
The wires to cut correspond to numbers 7, 11, and 15 on the Simba202 side.
You will easily find the wiring for the sockets on the internet.
One might argue that the quality is lower in composite video than in RGB, but this choice is a solution. I had previously tried to achieve RGB amplification without success.
I did not have this problem with a Panasonic VCR.
It cannot be guaranteed that this solution is transferable to other devices.
I remain at your disposal for further information. Good luck...
Jacques. -

Hi
Here I am, it's almost all working. I still have a little problem; there are some channels like L'Équipe TV, OM TV, and others that I see in the mosaic but do not have access to. What should I do since I don't have a manual for the device and when I run a channel search, it gets stuck at 500 channels and doesn't find the missing ones?
Then, second question, can we use the mosaic to navigate through the channels like on Canal Sat? If so, is there a specific action to perform? Best regards, happy holidays to everyone. Thank you.-
It is preferable to manually add the channel packages with a Simba 202.
You will find the list of channels and the values to enter by clicking on the link below
https://fr.kingofsat.net/pack-canalsat.php
Procedure on the Simba
- Menu
- Installation
Add a package or a channel
In the television list
Position yourself on "packages"
Press the red "add" button on your remote control
The "add a transponder" window
Enter: The frequency
The bitrate
The polarization
The satellite
Perform this operation for each frequency that contains the channels you want to receive.
Example: Canal Plus package, Canal Plus Decalé, Canal Plus Cinema, etc.
Frequency: 11856
Bitrate: 27500
Polarization: vertical
Satellite: Astra 1
Press OK to validate the acquisition of the channels
This operation is a bit more tedious than the auto search, but it is much more reliable.- Hello,
The technician from Aston had advised and guided me through this operation... it was hell for my 25 channels... and it didn't solve my problem.
I just received the new card and it worked after an automatic search except it seems that I am not granted access rights for FRANCE 5... request in progress. (my frequency channel is OK)
However, I am still not sure that my problem, which is the blockage when switching from clear to encrypted on a Csat channel, has not persisted.
Jacques.

Hello, I had this problem but with another decoder. Canal+ the bouquet was in clear for the first two months and then nothing, it says encrypted. I have a device where you have to enter two keys, but it's not that.
What do you think?? I thought it was because of the promotions for CANAL+ THE BOUQUET, and that I would therefore have the programs in clear with each promotion, but false hope..
So what to do??
Can we find a solution??
Can we use the informal "tu" form??
Well have a good day
Best regards, Thierry -
I have the same problem; I'm passing on the information, the channel frequencies are changing.
