Hello,
I want to create a list of illustrations and I started from the "Table of Contents" method because I don't know any other solution.
I inserted text blocks under my images as captions. The texts "Fig. x" are generated by a paragraph style where I indicated in "Bullets and numbering" Fig. ^1. I then wanted to create a list of illustrations, based on these text blocks: page tab, "Table of Contents." However, applying the same style as the text blocks causes the list of illustrations to change the order of the numbering: Fig. 1 View of the valley became Fig. 7 View of the valley! Do you have a solution to create a list that gathers all my caption texts without being tied to their numbering?
Thank you in advance for your help
Sylvain

Why use automatic bullet numbering?....
It seems to me that the continuity of the numbering only works if the text blocks are chained together...
An idea (but I'm not even sure this will work!!)... You make a list of all your images and create a merge field under the appropriate image...
Then you retrieve this field in the table of contents, which will give you a list of captions with their page numbers... (at least I think so!!)
In theory, if you move your image and its caption to a different page, the table of contents should update...
