Hello,

I just finished assembling my first desktop computer. All components, without exception, are new. The computer boots up normally, and there are no anomalies to report; however, during the installation of Windows 10, this (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/292986442089758720/485539117447249950/20180901_215852.jpg) occurs when I select my only hard drive as the installation destination. I spent the whole day (no exaggeration) looking for a solution to error 0x80300002, without finding anything. I tried many different methods, but nothing works.

If anyone knows any solution or answer to this problem, I would be happy to hear it.
Thank you for your attention.

    Hi,

Error 0x80300002 is often related to a problem with the hard drive.
    => https://www.malekal.com/erreur-0x80300002-installation-windows-10/

    Press Shift+F10
This will open the command prompt.

    Type diskpart and press enter
This will open the diskpart interface

    Type this:
    sel disk 0
    clean
    convert gpt

Do you get an error on the clean command (cyclic redundancy error or others)?

      ok, that's what I thought...
Hardware issue, either the cables/connections or the hardware on the disk.
A CrystalDiskInfo check from the Malekal Live CD would be good to get the disk status (Good, warning, bad): Check your hardware with Malekal Live CD

The problem does not change when I try different connections AND with other SATA cables. Each time the drive is recognized, however, the error persists. Should I return the hard drive?

You can run the CrystalDiskInfo test or test the hard drive by connecting it to another computer (USB cable, USB rack). If CrystalDiskInfo is acting up or if you can't initialize it, then yes, there is a problem and it needs to be sent back.

I unfortunately don’t have a SATA/USB adapter, but I will see if I can remedy that. Thank you very much for your clear responses!
