Unable to install PS4 Remote Play on Windows 10 (2004)

Hello,

You apparently have a Windows 10 Pro PC, without the N or KN editions which do not have Windows Media Player.

One of your screenshots asks you to update W10.
Restart Windows Update to get build 19041.450 (you have build 19041.423).
But that's not what will resolve your problem.

Your screenshot also asks you to install the Media Feature Pack with a proposed link.
But you don’t need it because you have Windows Media Player with any edition of W10 (Home or Pro) only for the N and KN versions.

The issue must revolve around Windows Media Player.

To remedy this:

Start by checking if it is present and launch it to say, "it's good, I have it".
If you don’t see it or can’t find it, move on to solution 1.

Solution 1
If it is not activated:
Control Panel → Programs → Programs and Features
Click on the line on the left → Turn Windows features on or off
Scroll down to the line → Media Features
Expand the +
Check the box → Windows Media Player
Then OK

Restart your PC.
Then try to install PS4 Remote Play.

Solution 2
Windows Media Player is not installed
Go to Settings → Apps → Apps & Features
Click on the line → Optional Features

Click on → Add a feature
In the window that opens click on → Windows Media Player
Click on Install


Solution 3
Uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player via Settings.

A-Uninstall Windows Media Player
Go to Settings → Apps → Apps & Features
Click on the line → Optional Features
Click on the line → Windows Media Player
Then → Uninstall

Restart your PC.

B- Reinstall Windows Media Player.
Go to Settings → Apps → Apps & Features
Click on the line → Optional Features
Click on → Add a feature
Select → Windows Media Player
Click on Install
Restart your PC.
Then try to install PS4 Remote Play.

Solution 4
Reset W10 without losing documents
Then try to install PS4 Remote Play.

Ps:
Make sure, just in case, that your PC is indeed Windows 10 Pro
Settings → System
The last line at the bottom → System Information
Section at the very bottom → Windows Specifications
The line → Edition
Or simply type in the search field on the taskbar → About
Click on About your PC

Or also type in the search field on the taskbar → info
Click on System Information

In System Summary it is the line → Operating System Name

Hello, I've installed remote play, but it won't open and I've uninstalled and reinstalled it a dozen times and it still won't open :((

Another solution???

I was able to install it thanks to a computer-savvy friend. Tutorial followed. He also launched Windows Media Player once and added "legacy components" in programs and features.
And as mentioned in the tutorial, Windows Media Player needs to be in the programs and features file.
Now it just needs to be tested.
