Bonsoir mesdames et monsieur, et grand merci pour tous vos efforts. S'il vous plaît, j'aimerais savoir pourquoi l'ordinateur portable branché au secteur sans la batterie fonctionne alors que le téléphone branché au secteur sans la batterie ne fonctionne pas ? Merci.

From my point of view, I would say that:
For the laptop, the power plug is directly connected to the motherboard, so the battery is a substitute peripheral to provide power to the computer.
For the mobile phone, the system is a bit different; electricity goes directly to the battery, and the battery powers the phone. By removing the battery, you create an opening in the circuit, and thus the phone is not powered.
