Hello,
Following a problem with my Samsung J3 2016 that went a bit "haywire" one day without any input from me, while it was charging, I had to re-enter my pin code without the phone turning off, the call log got erased, and it displayed: Google Play has stopped. Gmail has stopped (I haven't been able to open it since), and intermittently, the Google app has also stopped displaying.
I still have access to the search engine (maybe Google Chrome) but not to Gmail. As for the others, I don't know because I don't play games and don't know what they're for... I don't know much about this.
How can I reactivate Gmail?
Thank you in advance for your response.

Hello,
Two options: https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/46540-android-comment-vider-le-cache-des-applications
or uninstall and then reinstall-
Hello and thank you. Until now, I didn't dare uninstall Gmail but I did it (clearing the caches didn't work, I had already tried that) I turned off the phone and now it works. I can't give you any more explanations because with my skills, it's a bit hit or miss... Thank you very much and have a great day.

Hello, after removing the Gmail widget, it actually became gray and ultimately couldn't be removed anymore.
Since then, with each attempt to add a new Gmail widget, "the Gmail app closes systematically." ..
While reading this topic, I uninstalled Gmail, turned off my device, then restarted shortly after and reinstalled Gmail, which I had forgotten in the meantime.
My gray widget was removed, and I installed a new one on the home screen without Gmail ... "closing systematically."
Thank you; thumbs up!
