Hello, I would like, as the title suggests, to be able to "freeze" a page of a Word document.

I am currently writing my internship report and, being in the field of chemistry, I use a lot of figures, photos, and formulas, which causes page breaks/ shifts for pages that are 3 pages away from the...

For example, I would like to ensure that my cover page is no longer affected by line breaks or back returns.

I beg you to give me a clear, sharp, and precise answer, please.

    Hello.

    "make sure that my cover page is no longer affected by line breaks or backspaces". Normally, a cover page is self-contained and is not disturbed by what happens on other pages... You have therefore invented unusual procedures that we could not have guessed!

    "give me a clear, concise, and precise answer please". This will only be possible if we can closely examine your file (in which you will have removed or anonymized all confidential elements). 
     1) Go to https://www.cjoint.com/ 
     2) Click on [Browse] to select your file (max 15 MB)
     3) Scroll down to click the blue button [Create Cjoint link] 
     4) After a few seconds, the second page appears, with the link in bold; right-click on it and choose "Copy link"
     5) Return to your discussion on CCM, and in your message, paste it by doing "Paste".

      I cannot send you the document as it is research, it is indeed confidential and there would be too many elements to modify.

      My cover page was just an example, it is generally little affected by the changes made in the document, but I would just like to know how to FREEZE A WORD PAGE, I beg you, why do you make everything complicated in the forums, there must be a very simple manipulation. I had asked for a clear and precise answer and now I just feel like I've encountered a doctor who asks me to show my genitals when I have a sore throat (you will underline the choice of the metaphor).

      It's very kind of you to ask for "a clear and precise answer" ...
      But it would still require the question to be clear already!

      Initially, it was the cover page, now it's just an example!
      Moreover, it is "little affected" ... whereas no change in the body text can cause any alteration in this page ...

      The doctor (I see you like this profession) does not make a diagnosis and does not give a prescription to a patient who calls or writes to him; he must examine them!

      The notion of "freezing a page" does not exist in word processing. It is only in Excel that you can freeze the first rows and columns. As yclick kindly reminded you (because you surely knew this), in Word there are page breaks and section breaks; you just have to use them wisely.

      Finally, if your document is classified, nothing prevents you from creating another one, with just gibberish, but which presents the same flaws; we will make do with that.

      To conclude, it was you who took the initiative to seek our help; so make an effort to use a courteous and pleasant tone, without unpleasant remarks.
