Hello, I just connected my old monitor to my laptop to use it as a second screen (extended desktop) and I'm encountering a problem: the display on this second screen is shifted about 2 cm to the left, so I'm missing part of my screen on the left and there's a black band on the right. I thought I could manage this problem directly through the monitor settings, but when I press the "menu" button, I just get a message saying "input signal out of range". I want to specify that my monitor is set to the optimal resolution, that changing this resolution doesn't solve anything, and that the refresh rate is 60Hz, which is normal. My question is: do you know how to fix this problem, allowing me to access the monitor settings or using another method? Thank you in advance!

    Good evening,

    Your external screen is not capable of displaying what you've set on your PC...

    You aren't providing any numbers or references, so we can't respond with figures either.

    But you need to lower the screen resolution in the control panel of your PC until you get an image that fits the dimensions of your external screen...

    For it to work, both screens needed to have the same image resolutions in pixels for width and height...

      In fact, as I mentioned in my message, the problem does not come from the resolution, since I set the second screen to the optimal resolution, and lowering this resolution does not solve the problem; the offset remains. My screen is an HP v220, and it is set to 1680x1050. My problem is that I do not have access to the menu using the buttons on my second screen (as I explained above), so I cannot manually adjust the image.

      I would like to point out that the Auto button on my screen takes me back to the same message "input signal out of range."

      Uh, very strange, since usually when this happens on a screen, it displays nothing at all... And that's because the screen is not receiving the correct info from the PC; generally, the resolution sent by the PC is not one that the screen can handle.

      So, in that light, I think the screen has a serious problem.

      On page 14, you have the OSD settings for this monitor... Horizontal Position and Vertical Position
      So you can adjust everything.
