Slowdowns during video sharing on Zoom

Hello everyone,

Recently, I’ve had a problem with Zoom. When I hold meetings with several people (up to 6) in video, I experience lag (I lose mouse control for example for 5 to 10 seconds). This issue is even more noticeable when I share a video (YouTube). I’ve looked for the cause but can’t find it, and the problem persists. Do you have any suggestions?

Here is my laptop configuration:

Device name: DESKTOP-KE8GEMT
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10710U CPU @ 1.10GHz (1.61 GHz)
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce MX350 (2 GB)
Intel(R) UHD Graphics (128 MB)
Storage: 257 GB of 477 GB used
Device ID: 06BC653E-00B0-4104-81F3-200674E9D88A
Product ID: 00330-80135-51405-AA634
System type: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor

I use an OLED screen as a second monitor.

Thanks in advance,
Marc

    Hello,

In my opinion, we should not focus on hardware performance... But rather on connections to the Web and also on sharing among the number of users...

-- The law of sharing exists!!! when the cake is small, you must share, and the more guests there are, the smaller each person's slice... It's the same with internet connection throughput.

Before going further, we must first know what reality is made of..? Maybe we also need to think about lowering the requirements..??

-- The arrival of the line.. What is it..? Fibre, ADSL, satellite, 4G or 5G...

-- The distribution to Computers... Ethernet cables, Wifi....?

-- The processor is slow enough, so PC is not very powerful (it's not a Thoroughbred)

-- What image definition for video conferencing... the higher the image definition, the more image bits it consumes; so it's better to lower the definition and do what is possible

-- Desktop-KE8GEMT is an automatically generated name by Windows during installation; it does not reflect the PC model

-- If Windows is indeed the OS of this PC...??? the version would also be good information.

-- Zoom might need to be updated..?

-- To make more advanced suggestions, the information that answers these questions should be completed, preferably with numbers.
