Hello,
I recently had a problem and I need to make a partition active, but since my hard drive (SSD) is in GPT, diskpart tells me that to make a partition active, it has to be converted to MBR.
The problem is:
1- Since my hard drive is the one where Windows is installed, I can't format it and convert it to MBR (at least not without losing data on the drive with Windows on it, not to my knowledge).
2- When I install Windows by previously formatting and converting my SSD to MBR, it tells me that to install Windows, it is absolutely necessary to have the GPT format.
So I was wondering, is it possible to make a partition active in GPT?
If this is not possible, please consider (I beg you) the problem and try to provide me with a solution.
Thank you in advance, and sorry if there are any spelling mistakes.

Look for options like CSM / Legacy Bios:
Launch CSM (On/Off or Enabled/Disabled) < Enabled
UEFI/Legacy Boot (Both/Legacy Only/UEFI Only) < Legacy Only
Afterwards, it's a bit stupid to set it to MBR.
- You can't move the data to another disk.
- Set your disk to GPT (that deletes everything)
- Leave the BIOS options as they are and Install Windows?
I don't understand why you are so adamant about having it in MBR?
I’m really hesitant, but I think I’m going to stick with GPT.
Again, thank you for your promptness and professionalism!
