Good evening,

I just inserted in my footer the numbering: page / numpage, which gives me for each page this numbering: 1/2, 1/3, etc... which I’m very pleased with.

However, since I did this, when I updated the table of contents, my page numbers appear as follows:
1- NOTICE 1-4
2- PLAN DU MEMOIRE 2-10
instead of
1-NOTICE 4
2- PLAN DU MEMOIRE 10

How can I remove the numbering that starts with my Title?
Thank you very much for your help!! :)

Hello.

The automatic table of contents reflects the content of the document.
If you set a strange pagination, you'll definitely find it in the TOC!

Still, check out https://faqword.com/'s blog by m@rina
about the TOC fields with switches ...
I'm warning you, it's not easy!

Good evening Raymond!!

Thank you very much for your help and so quickly last night!

I read the FAQword, but I didn't directly find the solution to my problem.
But it gave me some leads.

So, I figured it out by myself:
in the footer: I had inserted page / numpage

I selected the page number and right-clicked => Page Number Format =>

all I had to do was uncheck the box "Include chapter number".

I updated the table of contents, and the chapter numbers are no longer there.
I only have the "regular" page numbers.

Thanks again for your help
and enjoy your retirement!! :))
