Footnotes do not follow in sequence

Hello,
Word documents (thesis in 9 parts) with page breaks between each chapter, the numbering of the footnotes is incorrect: it jumps from 286 to 329 between 2 chapters.
This thesis is due tomorrow morning... a lot of stress generated by this last-minute issue.

Hi,
in the insert menu, page number, you click the format button and choose numbering pages continuously from the previous section.

Another possible source of problems: revision marks can create a discontinuity. Accept the revisions to set everything right!
