Following a reinstallation of my computer, I no longer have files for my printer. I am looking for installation software for Windows 10
as it is no longer available from HP because it is too old.
Thank you

Good evening,
In fact, if you have Windows 10, there is no need to install a driver as they are automatically integrated.
What you are missing (I suppose) may be the HP software you had before, which allowed you to manage your printer > unfortunately, there is no solution for that, Windows 10 will not accept it even if you try to reinstall it.
However, this does not prevent your printer from functioning.
If you want to check if your printer is supported, click on "settings" in the menu and then "devices"
If you see your printer and it is checked by default, it means that it is functional.

Here is the link for the manual and drivers just in case.

Have a good evening

Hello,
Thank you for your response.
The printer does appear in the devices with the little green arrow
If I understand correctly, I come across the HP Sprint download, which I tried, and it tells me that my printer is not connected even though everything is plugged in and turned on. If I unplug and plug the USB cable of the printer back in, it shows on the computer: device not recognized.

For your printer, there are no drivers for Windows 10.
Windows 10 does it automatically:
Search for drivers on the internet (but none for your printer)
Set your printer as default. (which is the case)

Here are the two cases:

Drivers available via Windows 10.

1) Windows Update driver

Some printers are equipped with drivers installed via Microsoft Windows Update. If Windows Update is enabled on your computer connected to the Internet, it automatically activates when you connect a USB or network printer to the computer. Windows Update searches online for the latest printer drivers on the Windows Update site. If the driver available online is more functional than the currently installed driver, the computer downloads and installs that driver.

2) Drivers integrated into the Windows operating system (inOS)

An integrated operating system driver (inOS) provides basic functionalities. There is no need to download or install software from HP. If there is an inOS driver for your printer, you will at least have basic printing functions via a USB or network connection.

Normally, you should be in the second case and you should be able to print, yes or no???

And what about the HP troubleshooter tool mentioned above?
(be careful, it's not a driver)

Finally, I found the problem
it's a pin in the printer socket that got pushed in while inserting the cable plug, I suppose, and therefore there was no contact.
I pulled it out with pliers and now it works very well.
But thanks anyway for your responses that might be useful to me later.

You're welcome! That's one way to put it ;-)

Sometimes it's just obvious... well spotted!
