Hello, at work (where there are 3 of us, so no IT support...), we use an all-in-one HP printer (scanner, copier, and printer) model: HP PSC 2510.
Until recently, it was working fine (and had been for over a year), but for the past week, it's been impossible to get it to "start."
Let me explain, when a PC connects to the printer on startup, the printer, which was in sleep mode, "wakes up," and the "copier" part has a problem. It works like a photocopier; we lift the cover under which there is a glass, and on startup, the "gizmo" that moves when making a copy starts to move in small jerks making "bzz-bzz" sounds, never stopping, as if it’s trying to initialize. The printer gets stuck during startup, is never recognized by any PC, and we never have control over it.
It's a difficult problem to describe and to solve.
If anyone has an idea....
Thank you.

Hi, I have the same problem. When starting the HP 2510 printer, the power button keeps blinking and the machine makes a strange clicking noise. Did you solve this problem?

no: broken printer. well, no, the boss said he would take a look one of these days because he is convinced it's just a minor issue (he's handy and has a lot of hope...)
It's on the floor at the foot of my desk...

Hello everyone,

I have a PSC 2410 Photosmart and like you, I had a noise problem and the printer was stuck with the green "power" light blinking.

I followed PEW's advice and it worked, I followed his link and after an easy search, I found the method in French. Here’s the link: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00869862&cc=fr&lc=fr&dlc=fr&product=303753

When the printer initializes, the scanner lamp is "looking for its place" and if the glass is dirty, the lamp gets "lost" as it doesn't detect the original white strip corresponding to its location. So this blocks everything. In short, follow the link, do what they say and voilà, problem solved.

Thanks to everyone who posted solutions, it helped me a lot.
