Connecting the mixing console to the amplifier

Hello, I don't know anything about sound equipment and I need help please: I have purchased a mini mixing console "boombox" wax-10 and an Ibiza amp300 amplifier, as well as a pair of 12'' passive speakers from the brand "essentiel" and I'm unable to get any sound by connecting my phone to the jack input of the mixing console. Could you please advise me? Best regards.
