connecting an equalizer to a hi-fi amplifier Solved

Question

Hello,
I can't connect my BST process 7 2x15 equalizer to a hi-fi amplifier.
I have 2 inputs on the amplifier for the tape, and on the equalizer, I have 2 outputs (one on the right and one on the left) and 1 IN for both sides.
Can the BST equalizer work with a hi-fi amplifier?

Here is the order of how to connect (CD, phono turntable, tuner) to a mixer, the mixer to the equalizer, the equalizer to the amplifier, and that's it (master output or also called out from the mixer, one input of the equalizer, and the output of the equalizer to the input of the amplifier (and always remember out=output in=input). After tape, CD, tuner, line, etc., it's all the same, except for the phono inputs.

you have two inputs and two outputs!

so that's four jacks

you need to connect them to a tape output of your amplifier
playback and rec out
and select the input on tape!

I have a JVC CompuLink hi-fi system and I can't connect the equalizer.

Here are the references:
Equal JVC SEA RM20
Amp: JVC AX 33

I have 4 wires to connect the amp and the equalizer; as it's wired, the amp sends to the equalizer, which sends back to the amp.

The amp is fine and the equalizer is too; I have two, one of which is 100% reliable.

The volume control on the equalizer is fine, but I can't work on the frequencies, the screen remains black.

Can someone help me?

You need to connect your source to the IN output of your EQ with a 1/4" cable, then connect the EQ to the AMP also with a 1/4" cable (EQ output to AMP input). There will be no problem if you do it this way. The sound equipment has two types of connectors (1/4" or jack). Not all jack outputs are necessarily mono.
